Ryan is joining TOUR Performance Academy after an 8 year caddying career that saw him sustain a high level of success with the top ranked LPGA players in the world. Some of his caddying highlights include a win at the 2020 Shoprite Classic, caddying both the Rio and Tokyo Olympics, and being a member of the victorious European Team at 2021 Solheim Cup.
Ryan, also known as “Dez”, started playing golf at the age of 8 in Napanee, Ontario. He was a talented multi-sport athlete growing up, but decided to focus on golf. He became the Men’s Club Champion at the young age of 16 in Napanee, and had a successful junior career involving multiple wins, Dez played College Golf in Ontario for a year, but realized he had more passion helping others in the game.
Over his caddying career on the LPGA and PGA Tours, Dez has spent valuable time with some of the best coaches around the globe and seen how they work and interact with Tour players. With his extensive knowledge of techniques, specific drills, and strategy preparation and implication – his focus will be on short game, course strategy, and decision making. Whether you are trying to break 100 or 70 for the first time, Dez is extremely excited to take what he has learned on Professional Tours and incorporate that to help you shoot lower scores.
