Braden Taylor
Braden comes to TOUR Performance Golf with a comprehensive background in high-level sports, as well as a profound knowledge surrounding club fitting and performance.
He attended the University of Guelph as a student athlete playing for the Men’s Varsity Soccer Team. While there he completed a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences with a minor in Nutrition. Although Soccer had been a passion of his, Golf was always a passion on the side and in fact was the first sport he ever picked up after learning from his father at 3-years old.
After graduating University and completing his soccer career, Braden found himself further exploring his passion for golf and secured a position at PING as a Club Fitting Specialist. In his time at PING he completed more than 1000 fittings spanning beginners, amateurs, and professional golfers alike – helping countless golfers understand their equipment and data, become more consistent, and lower their scores!
Braden believes this in-depth knowledge is incredibly valuable as it allows him to provide advanced and distinct recommendations to tailor each player’s unique swing characteristics and equipment. Understanding launch monitor data, and how factors like club length, shaft flex, lie angle and loft influence ball flight and performance enables him to help players optimize their gear and swing for better consistency, accuracy, and distance. This data-driven approach also leads to more efficient and measurable progress, helping players reach their full potential. By combining proper swing mechanics with appropriate equipment recommendations, Braden can ensure that players have the tools they need to succeed, ultimately improving their overall game and making the learning process more effective.
